Hope, typically, expresses a wish or desire that does not have any certainty. People might feel there is no hope on seeing what is going on around. But biblical hope is different. It’s not a wish or preference, but rather a certainty that has yet to be fulfilled. Our hope is not in our strength, not in our leaders, but on Jesus Christ. Billy Graham once quoted the words of the German Chancellor Konrad Adenauer shortly after World War II ended: ‘Outside of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, I know of no other hope for mankind.’ The resurrection of Jesus Christ made the disciples to start a new revolution turning the world upside down. Let us live our lives with the great hope that our Savior is alive and He is Sovereign. We can find overwhelming evidence for the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ. In fact, the Resurrection of Jesus Christ is a great Cosmic Event. When scientists say there are many dimensions, Jesus should have ascended beyond all dimensions, and that is why He sees us; He hears our every word though we are unable to see Him. But a day will come when we will see Him face to face. That is hope.
